Frequently Asked
How does Schuss track my location on the mountain?
add
Schuss uses your device's GPS combined with our detailed resort trail maps to pinpoint your position. On Apple Watch, tracking continues even when your iPhone is stowed, giving you wrist-level access to your stats and squad.
Which ski resorts are supported?
add
Schuss supports resorts worldwide with detailed trail maps. We're constantly adding new resorts. If your resort isn't listed, contact us and we'll prioritize adding it.
How do I find my friends on the mountain?
add
Once your friends join your party in Schuss, their real-time locations appear on your trail map. You can see which run or lift they're on, their speed, and set rendezvous points to meet up.
Does Schuss work without cell service?
add
Core tracking features (speed, vertical, run counting) work offline using GPS. Friend locations and social features require a data connection, which is available at most modern resorts.
How accurate is the speed tracking?
add
Schuss uses GPS-based speed calculations with filtering algorithms to remove noise. Accuracy is typically within 1-2 km/h. Apple Watch provides the most consistent readings due to wrist-level GPS exposure.
Is my location data private?
add
Your location is only shared with friends you explicitly invite to your party. We never sell location data. You can disable sharing at any time, and all location data can be deleted from your account.
What devices are supported?
add
Schuss is available on iPhone (iOS 15.0 or later) and Apple Watch. The Apple Watch app works independently for on-slope tracking, syncing data when reconnected to your iPhone.
How do I delete my account?
add
You can delete your account from the Profile tab in the app. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data including run history, stats, and social connections.
